Fox shoot Tigers

We have just had one of those weeks that one day we will look back on when we have 2.4 children, a semi detached house with a Volvo on the drive and wonder did that happen to us?

Last Sunday morning we were awoken by the delivery of a new calf on the farm. Nathan, still being in charge of the farm was over joyed by her arrival, especially as the mum managed to push the little thing out herself without him having to reach for the James Herriot manual!
The calf is named Andrea Bryer after the producers of the film The Last King of Scotland.

The name of the calf may seem slightly random except that the following Friday a team from 20th Century Fox (who made the film The Last King of Scotland) came to Tudabujja to do some filming. Andy Williams had been involved with the film and also some of our boys were in the film. The producers, James McAvoy (who plays Nicholas Garrigan in LKOS and Mr Tumnus in Narnia) and a film crew for the BBC came to film them as they visited the project and interacted with the boys. Look out for us on the community channel (Channel 87). Also the documentary On the Tigers Trail is being shown again http://www.communitychannel.org/content/view/1189/75/.

So all has been very exciting and since then a new farm manager has started at Tuda and Nathan survived his stint without a single fatality!

Jen would also like to thank you for the Birthday texts and cards she received last week.

For those of you who want to pray for us here are a few pointers.
  • For Emmy, the new farm manager as he settles in.
  • For strength energy and wisdom as we face the many challenges this job holds.
  • For the boys - healing from their pasts, enjoyment through their transition and hope for the future.
  • For the team at Tudabujja as we try to constantly review and improve what we do.
Thank you,

Jen and Nathan
