Fox shoot Tigers

We have just had one of those weeks that one day we will look back on when we have 2.4 children, a semi detached house with a Volvo on the drive and wonder did that happen to us?

Last Sunday morning we were awoken by the delivery of a new calf on the farm. Nathan, still being in charge of the farm was over joyed by her arrival, especially as the mum managed to push the little thing out herself without him having to reach for the James Herriot manual!
The calf is named Andrea Bryer after the producers of the film The Last King of Scotland.

The name of the calf may seem slightly random except that the following Friday a team from 20th Century Fox (who made the film The Last King of Scotland) came to Tudabujja to do some filming. Andy Williams had been involved with the film and also some of our boys were in the film. The producers, James McAvoy (who plays Nicholas Garrigan in LKOS and Mr Tumnus in Narnia) and a film crew for the BBC came to film them as they visited the project and interacted with the boys. Look out for us on the community channel (Channel 87). Also the documentary On the Tigers Trail is being shown again http://www.communitychannel.org/content/view/1189/75/.

So all has been very exciting and since then a new farm manager has started at Tuda and Nathan survived his stint without a single fatality!

Jen would also like to thank you for the Birthday texts and cards she received last week.

For those of you who want to pray for us here are a few pointers.
  • For Emmy, the new farm manager as he settles in.
  • For strength energy and wisdom as we face the many challenges this job holds.
  • For the boys - healing from their pasts, enjoyment through their transition and hope for the future.
  • For the team at Tudabujja as we try to constantly review and improve what we do.
Thank you,

Jen and Nathan

Hi Jen, Cousin Stevey here, all sounds very exciting and I hope that the calf goes someway to filling the space lef tin Nathan's heart when he left the MG behind! As someone with a Volvo on my drive and 83% along the way to having 2.4 children, I was hoping to bung some cash to the project and you & Nathan so you can keep alive the kind of dreams that Sooz & I have let slip through our fingers. What's the best way to get that to you?!? Big love, Little stevey

Hi Jen and Nathan
Wanted to e-mail you but don't know how..... we are just thinking about a visit to Uganda in August. Will you be there? Are you on for visitors? We thought Ben could play football endlessly with the boys and that would be a great holiday for all of us! We would really appreciate your thoughts on this - we have some friends in Kenya too we want to visit and we have some vague idea of a bit of an adventure together in East Africa during the summer holidays.
Great news about the calf - well done Nathan! We are praying for you...
Lots of love

Heya all

Hope all is going well over there, and that your new farm manager has settled in ok. Today is Red Nose day over here, so we're all busy doing our bit to raise cash.

Jen I have to ask you, did you and your friends dress up as cheerleaders for the Last Comic Relief? Silly question I know, but on the programme tonight, Ant and Dec mentioned from Tanzania that Jenny Gregory and her Friends dressed up as cheerleaders, and raised £90 which paid for a toilet block in a slum in Tanzania.

Anyway I hope you are all well over there, and I've been thinking of you, Nathan, Andy and all the others working hard out there.

God Bless you all, you are all so amazing

Sarah xxxx

Hello gorgeous Jen.

I'm glad life is going so well for you out there. Miss you so much it's scary. There is honestly not a day goes by when I don't think about you. (not sure if that says something about the excitement levels in my own life!?!.

Not much changes for me to be honest. Excited about Easter Hols (chocolate eggs) and of course my Birthday. Andy and I are off to Eden Hall for a day of pampering-hoorah.

I'm going to be a bridesmaid again for my friend Nicola, in sept, and I'm determined to be a slim one this time!

Love you loads, will remember to call soon, I promise.

Big hugs.

Hannymonster.
